Description
Pepperpot Masks are multi-hole masks to separate particle beams into multiple beamlets.
This particle beam separation is used in pepperpot devices to measure the transversal
momentum distribution of an incident particle beam and the beam emittance.
Another application for multi-hole masks is the formation of particle beams for special cases
of target irradiation.
